Fireworks and music

"May the sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely, than this our own country!" — Daniel Webster

A BELATED happy birthday, America.

We celebrated by going for a walk in the woods in the afternoon (FYI for those in central Iowa: about half of Jester Park in inaccessible due to flooding) and then to Mama Logli's in the evening for treats, jigsaw puzzling and a couple of rounds of Pigmania.

Ever played Pigmania? It's a complete hoot. Know what I like about it? It's 100% a game of utterly random chance. There is no skill involved whatsoever! I love that about it. I don't have to make any decisions or feel stressed about doing or not doing well. (See how much performance anxiety I have?!?!?)

Tonight Paul is playing with Rick K. and the Allnighters in the Grand Stand on the Iowa State Fair Grounds. The band's drummer, "Mad" Steve Moore, is known for his antics on the drums. I'm looking forward to it.

Below the this clip is this awesome video Paul found of a remote controlled, miniature quad-copter piloted through fireworks set to Por Ti Volare sung by Adrea Bocelli. It's gorgeous.
